Jay J was in a bad mood today. I think he misses Ken. He snapped twice at Bea and totally hurt her feelings. He was out of sorts--wanting to play--wanting to rest--wanting to kiss the kitty--bite the kitty--go outside--come back inside--you get the drift. He just wasn't himself. Turns out he doesn't think much of the "work" concept, either, but he is glad that he can flop out on the couch next to me while I work. How do you entertain a dog with a broken leg? I think it's a harder question than "What do women want?" (less complex, but definitely harder)
The patch came off tonight without any big fanfare.
He's moved from couch to bed where he'll watch the Colbert Report and maybe an episode of the Simpsons before drifting off to sleep. Here he is, all tucked in.

Poor little Jay J. I know it's small consolation, given you have to put up with Bea and those two legged health care workers, but things will get better. Just a word of warning, don't go jumping up on the window blinds first thing when the cast gets off. Wait a couple of weeks until Kathy and Pegalu are out of the house and then you and Bea can have contest for how high you can jump up on them. It'll be fun! I'd join you, but I'm practically chained to my chair 9 hours a day. But I'm rooting for you. Mr. Doug
