Jay J's New Discovery

Humans have to work. This is Jay J's new discovery.

Jay J spent a little supervised time in his expen this morning while I worked, sitting about 4 feet from the pen door with my back to him. It took him about 45 minutes, but he finally quit whining until Bea climbed on top of the pen purportedly to "cool off". I'll have to get a picture of her splayed across the wire with all fours dangling into the pen. Even with Bea's antics, he didn't escape. I don't know if he's waiting to break out again when I'm not home, or if he truly can't get out this time.

Peg easily handled a 4 hour stint with Jay J this afternoon while I went to a meeting. I'm happy to report that all went well. I came home to find them both sitting in her office typing away on the computer. Jay J is learning to touch type. He's a smart boy.

So far, he's leaving his bandages alone. Tomorrow the wrap on his back leg holding the fentanyl patch in place, comes off.

Peg's brother Ken drove up from Medford for a visit this weekend. Poor Ken. Little did he know he'd spend the entire weekend with a dog on his lap. Jay J loves "Uncle Ken" and I think the feeling is mutual. We offered to let Jay J visit Ken for a couple of months, but Ken isn't having any part of being responsible for the convalescence of an Italian Greyhound. Besides, he's got Jay J's cousin, Fonz, to raise. Just tried to post her photo to the blog but it's a no-go so i will try later. Fonz and I adore each other....
