Jay sat between Kathy and I as we drove first to Southern Oregon and then to Northern California. He visited dog parks along the way and gives a big thumbs up to the dog park in Castro Valley, CA. He went with his cousin Fonzie to the dog park in Southern Oregon. He and Fonz are great friends and played so wildly that we may not be invited back. We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with my brother Ken, who is a very good cook, and went with the citrus approach to stuffing this year. Yum.
In California, we stayed with KO and Gail and Jay was asked to stay in the family room, which he did all but once and we don't want to go into that. On the way back to Seattle, we picked up Sammy, a rescue iggy, and Jay was verrrrrrry interested in Sammy, who is a beautiful 9 year old iggy who looks 4 years old. What's your secret, Sammy?
Blaze stayed with Anne, Mouse, and TK, and was treated to a spa week there. Blaze is a very young guy and has those types of behaviors. We are eternally grateful to Anne, Mouse and TK for their hospitality.
Blaze and Jay are happy to meet up again. They really like each other and we have the dog fight play to prove it. Blaze is a beautiful little puppy, full of life, and not as suave and debonair as Jay. Blaze has very sturdy legs and a great sense of humor. When would you like to pick him up?
Jay stayed behind when we saw Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco, although he would have liked the part of the show that featured poodles. I liked the whole show. We rode BART under the Bay so didn't hassle with parking, etc., and also had a very good dinner. That was a good risotto they served there.
We are glad to be home and in our matching kennels. Sammy is in Spokane now and somebody got lucky in having him join their household.
