Taylor, our 11 year old kitty, has put on a bit of weight and that's a goooood thing. She has a salmon treat at 8:00 every night. That serves as her appetizer. She is not as bony and emaciated as she was now that we put her food in a place where Bea can't easily get it. We think that Taylor may have washed Bea's face this week.
Leo was adopted to a good home today. Leo was found alongside the highway awhile back, which is a desperate situation for a little iggy to be in. He is now warm and well-fed and busy being the perfect companion.
Kathy's job takes place in a tomb-like setting, a place where no natural light can be found. She works with a great group of people, though, and for a project that is certainly a good cause. Kathy continues her duties as an Italian Greyhound representative. Jay accompanies Kathy, meaning that he continues his job as an ambassador. Other than that, Jay is a popular little fellow at Spawz where he plays with Blaze, Deja, and PD, all of whom are extremely fine italian greyhounds.
Peggy will take up submitting her book, "The Year We Knew Poor", to literary agents over the long Thanksgiving weekend She received a rejection notice from an agent a month ago and is very excited to have received anything. She asks herself, "Will the world ignore a book about a garden estate housing project"? The book is filled with insight about an environment that the monied set up for the poor and who could resist that? Peggy sure couldn't resist it and she wants to share what she saw with you!
It was a sad week in Seattle and in the world in general. Good people were lost. Fears were magnified. But a health care reform bill was passed in the House. And this week we will acknowledge our veterans.
